The Rising Stars Photojournalism Project has spent nine months exploring, understanding, and re-working the definition of community through art, reporting, writing, and reflection. The model of this project is one and the same as our working definition of community: "people working together towards a common goal."
In the spirit of this model, eleven 9, 10, and 11 year-olds are discovering how their stories and insights impact the larger community and must be shared to create awareness, encourage cohesion, and to inspire change.
